Export and diary backup
How to download the whole history as CSV files, and how to keep a copy of a diary that lives only on this device.
CSV export — always free
The export is a ZIP of CSV files, one per kind of entry, that open in any spreadsheet. It is free in every plan and after Premium ends.
- Open More → Settings, then Settings in the App group, section Data → CSV export.
- Choose the children and the period — the whole history or chosen days.
- Tap Prepare the file. It usually takes a few seconds; you can close the screen, because we also e-mail you the link. The link is valid for 24 hours.
The file is built from what is on the server, so it needs an account and a connection, and entries still waiting on your phone are not in it yet. Photos and voice notes are not in the file — only their list.
The file holds your child's health data and is not encrypted — keep it like medical records.
Diary backup — a JSON file from this device
Diary backup in the same Data section saves a JSON file with the whole diary from this phone. It is the way to keep a copy before you create an account, because until then the diary lives only on this device. A backup can be restored only into an empty diary on a device without an account.
Copies sent by e-mail
- When you delete your account, we first e-mail you a copy of your data (CSV, the link is valid for 30 days).
- When a parent withdraws the consent for a child, the family's other parents get a copy of the child's data by e-mail (CSV, valid for 30 days).
- A removed parent gets an e-mail offering a copy of their data (CSV, valid for 30 days).
